After engineer Lexie Carver loses her Special Forces brother to friendly-fire, she devotes her life to a new technology that could save her brother’s brave comrades.  Too bad her government funding has been cut by a Navy captain seemingly more interested in his golf game than saving lives.  With steeled determination, Lexie sets a collision course and barrels toward the naval blockade threatening her dream.

Captain Reid Townsend would have granted funding for Lexie’s promising project had it been available—or so he tells himself. She instantly reminds him of another career-obsessed woman who left him standing—literally—at the alter.  With misplaced anger, he brushes her off with a curt “Thanks, but no thanks.”  However, someone else is more than willing to bankroll the project and for a not so noble a cause.  When Lexie becomes a target herself, she reluctantly partners with Reid to keep her program out of the hands of evil.  Suddenly, her new mission is to stay alive.
