The Shadow of Langley Hall is one of several novels co-authored by husband and wife Francis and Dilys Xavier. They also write novels using their own names.

Francis is an Australian-born natural healer, and Welsh-born Dilys is a retired head teacher, who also paints and exhibits watercolor landscapes.

They live in a sunny corner of south-east Britain with their delightful red Burmese cat, Boyo.
